1. No cooling-off period for live events
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, tickets for scheduled leisure events are exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel. Once your booking is confirmed, you do not have an automatic right to change your mind.
2. Organiser refund policy
The event organiser sets and administers the refund policy for their event. Their policy is shown on the event page before you book. Any refund request based on personal circumstances (illness, travel disruption, change of plans) is a matter for the organiser.
3. If the organiser cancels or materially changes the event
Where an event is cancelled, or is materially changed in a way that means what you booked is no longer being provided, you are entitled to a refund of the ticket price under UK consumer law. The organiser is responsible for processing that refund.
MyEventHub will support you and the organiser in processing a refund promptly, usually within 14 days of the organiser confirming the cancellation.
4. Booking fees
The booking fee covers the cost of providing the ticketing platform, payment processing and digital ticket delivery. Where an event is cancelled by the organiser, the booking fee is refunded to you together with the ticket price. In other cases (for example, discretionary refunds by the organiser), booking fees are non-refundable.
5. How refunds are paid
Refunds are made to the original payment method within 5 to 10 working days of the refund being approved. We will send you an email confirmation when a refund is processed.
6. Duplicate charges and errors
If you believe you have been charged twice, charged in error, or did not receive your tickets, contact support@myeventhub.co.ukwithin 30 days of the transaction and we will investigate.
7. Chargebacks
Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks raised for reasons that should have been handled through the refund process (such as a change of plans) may lead to your booking being cancelled and your account restricted.
8. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other UK consumer protection law.
