Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 July 2026

MyEventHub is a UK online ticketing platform. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights you have under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

MyEventHub (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the ticketing platform at myeventhub.co.uk. We are the data controller for personal data we collect about you as a ticket buyer or account holder.

Event organisers who list events on MyEventHub are separate data controllers for personal data they collect and use in connection with their own events (for example, attendee lists, accessibility notes, marketing to their audience). Where we process data on their behalf, we act as their data processor.

2. What we collect

  • Account details: name, email address, password (hashed), optional phone number.
  • Booking details: event, performance, seats, ticket holder names, dietary or access notes you provide.
  • Payment metadata: booking reference, amount, payment status. Card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored by us.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, essential cookies, and error diagnostics.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide the platform and fulfil your ticket purchases (contract).
  • To send booking confirmations, tickets, and important service messages (contract).
  • To prevent fraud, secure the service and comply with UK law (legitimate interests / legal obligation).
  • To improve the platform through aggregated, non-identifying analytics (legitimate interests).

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

4. Sharing your data

  • With the event organiser you buy tickets from, so they can admit you, communicate about the event, and handle refunds.
  • With trusted service providers who help us operate (hosting, payments, email delivery, error monitoring) under written contracts.
  • With UK authorities where we are legally required to do so.

5. International transfers

Some of our processors operate outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to keep your data protected.

6. How long we keep data

  • Account data: while your account is open, and up to 24 months after closure.
  • Booking and financial records: 7 years, to meet HMRC and consumer-law obligations.
  • Diagnostics and logs: up to 90 days.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Ask us to delete data where there is no lawful reason to keep it.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@myeventhub.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, row-level access controls, hashed passwords, and least-privilege infrastructure to protect your data. No system is completely secure — please tell us straight away if you think your account may have been compromised.

9. Cookies

We use only essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your booking session. See our Cookie Policy.
